Banana Moon Hamilton- WE ARE GOOD!

It's official, our Ofsted report has finally been published!

We are incredibly proud of all the staff, children and parents who helped us achieve this. Thank you to all of our staff, children and parents for your incredible hard work, dedication and support. You have all been amazing!

Ofsted inspectors were impressed with the children’s behaviour and how our children play cooperatively with their peers. She was impressed with how the children show pride in their achievements and shared these with their peers! Inspectors also noted children have good relationships with staff. They show strong bonds with their key person and go to them for comfort as and when needed.

Finally, inspectors commented that all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, are supported to progress well at our nursery and the manager leads her staff team very well, offering them valuable support and training to extend their professional development.

In response to the recommendation from Ofsted that staff need to ‘review the organisation of some daily routines to provide consistent opportunities to fully engage children in learning’ we have taken the following steps:

Our team has reviewed snack and mealtimes and introduced rolling snack in both our Full Moon and Mini Moons rooms. This will prevent staff from stopping the children’s play and missing learning opportunities during this period.

Our team reviewed waiting times when going outside into the garden area by going in smaller groups and supporting children to develop their independence in getting their own coats on by using the superhero model!

We are committed to providing a high-quality education for all children, and we will continue to work hard to ensure that all children feel safe, secure, and supported at our nursery here at Banana Moon Hamilton.
